So word on the street is taht Sarah and gang are "not" on par with the american people because she spends like royalty. Hmmm...Is it apropriate for a world leader to look and act the part or not? This is definitely a tough issue, however let it be know that Obama and Mccain both play to their constituents. Obama's play is I befriend terrorists, I am on par with my constituents. Mccain prides himself in wealth, success, and respectability on par with his constituents. may seem a bit far reaching but the point is strong. $150,000 on image is nothing compared to Billions that are being spent on campaigning that could have supported thousands of voters around the country that are sleeping outside for the night. If only one of the many millionaire, over the top, spend happy donors to Obama's campaign even believed for a second that $150,000 on suits and image was alot, then I would be on board with the dEMs. But that aint the case. Just FYI:
On the attack of the day, expensive clothes, Obama also has something of a handicap in relating to the average guy. Obama likes expensive designer suits. He even had one custom made for his Democratic Convention acceptance speech.
Tonight, Barack Obama will wear a navy blue, worsted wool two-button suit that Hartmarx custom made just for him. Hartmarx is a 121-year-old Chicago-based manufacturer of high-end men's suits. Obama, who wears a 40 long with a 33-inch waist, has worn Hart Schaffner Marx suits but always off the rack, said an inside source. He favors the Gold Trumpeter collection. His new custom suit is 97 percent merino wool and 3 percent cashmere, has pleated plants with a 1 1/2-inch cuff and would cost about $1,500 off the rack.
The least expensive Hart Schaffner Marx suit retails for $695, hardly within the budget of the average working man. See the full story HERE.
Boast or Bust??
